Samantha Mora is a Mexican-Canadian artist whose music bridges cultural heritage with emotional depth, blending R&B, pop, and cumbia influences into a sound that’s both intimate and expansive. With a foundation in jazz and a background in visual arts, her recent return to music marks a bold new chapter shaped by years of introspection. Her singles Howl and Luto showcase a distinctive voice—bilingual, soulful, and reflective—offering listeners a powerful expression of memory, transformation, and personal rediscovery.

An artist whose roots span two countries, combining the rich cultural influences of Mexico with the vibrant music scene of Canada. With a background in jazz, and a passion for visual arts, Samantha’s music reflects a deep and evolving relationship with creativity. A newfound sound marks her return to the music scene, the result of years of introspection and silence.

“After being away from music for several years, I found myself in a place where I needed to reconnect with my art. These years of silence were transformative, allowing me to develop a sound that truly represents who I am today”

Samantha Mora x Musosoup

Mexican-Canadian artist Samantha Mora has embraced Musosoup as a vital tool in her journey to share her music with a wider audience. Through two successful campaigns—one for her hauntingly evocative single, Howl, and another for the rhythmically poignant Luto—Musosoup has helped her connect with listeners, curators, and industry professionals in meaningful ways.

Following the success of her previous single Howl, Mexican-Canadian artist Samantha Mora returned with her latest track, Luto, a poignant and rhythmic exploration of grief, memory, and joy. The single captivates listeners with its unique blend of R&B, pop, and cumbia, infused with heartfelt bilingual lyrics.

Through Musosoup, Mora’s music has reached new heights, securing placement in over 150 playlists, receiving multiple standout reviews, and earning features from key industry publications. Cage Riot, for example, described Howl as “more than just music, it’s an experience. Samantha’s smooth vocal delivery, paired with her unique blend of jazz, folk, and R&B, makes this track a hauntingly beautiful listen that lingers long after it’s over.”

Another great coverage example for Luto, from The Other Side Reviews describes Luto as brimming “with luscious tranquillity and sincerity, but there is more to the track than what we see on the glistening surface.”

Beyond digital streaming, her presence expanded through radio features and social media shoutouts, amplifying her reach across platforms. Formula Indie, a radio station, playlisted her which also airs in the Euro Indie Music Chart.

Reflecting on her experience with Musosoup, Mora shared:

"The service was easy to use, effective, and genuinely helpful. Connecting with curators and seeing my music resonate with new audiences was incredible. I’ll definitely use Musosoup again."

We're so happy to have helped Samantha at this part of her journey and we can't wait to see what she releases next!
