I came up with the idea for Musosoup while running my own label and music blog. I was frustrated by the lack of affordable, transparent, and fair options for artists to get coverage. I wanted to create a new way for artists to connect with curators—one that gave them control over their budget, allowed for direct collaboration, and delivered meaningful coverage suited to their stage in the journey. I also wanted to support music blogs, radio stations, and publications in earning a living by discovering and championing great new music. I’m proud of what we’ve built at Musosoup and truly believe that, together, we can help independent and grassroots music thrive and continue to play a vital role in all cultures.
