Q: What strategies have you found most effective for promoting your music to new audiences?
A: I’ve been successful using Google/Facebook/Instagram ads. I’ve seen significant growth since using these platforms.
Q: What advice would you give to artists looking to connect with curators and industry professionals?
A: Be courteous, thankful and follow up with them. Do your homework as to which curators are a good fit for your music.
Q: What challenges have you faced in promoting your music?
A: I think developing a tough skin to criticism. I’ve learned to not let it affect me in a negative way, but let it help me to improve as an artist. Initially, I was soliciting curators who weren’t good fits and incurred a lot of rejection.

Q: What role does collaboration play in growing your audience and network?
A: I believe collaboration is very important. I have collaborated with a number of other musicians in my network and have found audiences enjoy seeing musicians perform with each other. Many times, you pick up the fans of the person you are collaborating with and vice versa.
Q: What platforms or tools have you found most useful for promoting your music?
A: Musosoup, Groover have been fantastic. Also, as I said, Google ads.
Q: Is there any other advice you’d offer to new artists starting out today?
A: For new artists just starting out today, be patient and understand that it takes time to build something great. Success doesn't happen overnight, so hard work and dedication are a necessity, especially in the music industry. It is quite competitive in this business, but believing in your process will ultimately help you achieve your goals.
