There’s no denying that AI is becoming a fundamental part of modern life. Its rapid evolution is changing how we live, work, and create. Within the music industry, however, AI brings a set of serious challenges—threatening the livelihoods of artists, writers, producers, designers, and other creative professionals while also potentially devaluing music itself.
At Musosoup, we believe music is—and must remain—a deeply human expression. It tells stories, builds connections, and reflects real emotion and lived experience. As the world becomes increasingly digital, we believe it’s more important than ever to protect the authenticity of human-created music and content.

Consequences of AI Violations
This policy outlines our stance on AI, what we consider acceptable use, what we do not permit on our platform, and the steps we take to uphold these standards.
Our Stance on AI in Music and Content
We draw a clear line between responsible use of AI as a tool to support human creativity and the replacement of creative work with entirely AI-generated material.
We do not allow fully AI-generated music on the platform. Music must show clear signs of human authorship, intention, and creativity.
We acknowledge that some music production tools may include AI-assisted features (e.g. mastering tools, vocal processing, composition aids). These are acceptable when they are part of a human-led creative process.
If a release uses AI as a dominant and obvious creative component—such as generating a core instrument, vocal, or novel sonic effect—we will label it with an ‘AI’ genre tag to ensure transparency.
We have a zero-tolerance policy on AI-generated editorial content from curators. Reviews, interviews, and any written features must be human-written.
We recognise that AI tools are commonly used for minor tasks such as proofreading, spell-checking, or grammar corrections. These uses are acceptable when the core content remains human-written.
How We Protect Human-Created Work
We take active steps to maintain the integrity of our platform:
Every submission is reviewed by our team, and where there is doubt, we may request evidence of human involvement in the creative process.
We are investing in detection tools to help identify AI-generated music and content more reliably.
Curator content is subject to routine checks, using multiple AI detection tools to assess the originality and authorship of written material.
We investigate all reports or concerns raised by artists, curators, or the public regarding AI-generated content.
Consequences of AI Violations
To uphold our standards, we take the following actions if AI use violates our policy:
Artist submissions found to be AI-generated will be declined during the approval stage.
If AI-generated music is discovered in an active campaign, the campaign will be removed and the artist may be suspended.
Curators found to be submitting AI-generated content will face a permanent ban from Musosoup.
