Another excellent month of new musical discoveries! With gigs, tours and festival announcements aplenty, it’s been a busy few weeks for a lot of musicians starting to map out the rest of 2025. Here are ten new names for your radar.

Shears is the alter ego of Becca Shearing, a Scottish songwriter who’s been making some incredible records in recent years. ‘Bad Dream’ is her first single of the year - it’s a euphoric slab of electronic pop, with some late-night clubbing influences at its core.

Heading south of the border into England, we find The Rotor Delta, real name Jimmy Green, based in Lincoln and crafting beautiful indie-folk music. Latest release ‘The Boys From Waterloo’ has a timeless, festival-ready feel to it.

Over in Bristol, we also have FRASER. making a glorious impression with new song ‘White Picket Fences’. The production values on this, allied with his brilliant vocals, are absolutely top drawer.

New Jersey outfit Your Best Nightmare were another one to leap out of the pile towards the start of the month. ‘St. Agnes’ provides us with a catchy serotonin kick amid some seriously chunky riffs.

Speaking of chunky riffs, Le Junk also provided them in abundance this month, with the hotly-anticipated release of ‘English Garden’. Spiky verses give way to a dreamy, melodic chorus. It packs a real punch!

Over in Australia, the Melbourne-based artist Dansy unleashed a high-octane slab of hook-laden pop-punk as well, in the shape of ‘High’. After a little bit of time away, it’s great to have her back in the fold.

Staying in Melbourne for a minute, let’s shine a spotlight on the talent of Dark Tala and a newly-unveiled anthem! From an Evanescence-like beginning, ‘Waking Up’ develops into an impeccably-layered hard rock beast.

After putting out some tremendous singles since first emerging back in 2021, Toronto-based duo June The Destroyer are set to release a debut album later this year! ‘Hot Coffee’ sets the tone perfectly, with a crushing combination of blues-influenced rock and heavy soul.

It’s great to have Ethan Gold back in our midst too. He’s an incredible storyteller who has a great knack of creating impactful, heartfelt melodies. ‘Mirror Don’t Have Any Feelings’ finds a sweet spot between the work of Bright Eyes and Bill Ryder-Jones. A stunning piece of work.

Finally in the roundup this month, the excellent Delore. The Finnish alt. pop artist from the southern city of Tampere has a jaw-dropping vocal range, which is on full display on her emotionally-charged new single, ‘Game of Lies’, calling to mind artists like BANKS and LYRA.
